Please join us at the University of Central Oklahoma for “Democracy and Civic Engagement: A Call to Action,” an American Democracy Project regional conference. We welcome American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) member institutions from Wisconsin to Texas, along the I-35 corridor, to participate in a two-day discussion of democracy and civic engagement in public higher education.

The meeting begins the afternoon of Monday, March 10 with a keynote address by George Mehaffy, Vice President for Leadership and Change at AASCU and founder of the American Democracy Project, and ends late afternoon on Tuesday, March 11 after a full day of panels and dialogue.

We welcome participation from students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community partners in panel discussions, poster presentations, roundtables, and workshops. In addition, we encourage faculty to co-present with students.
