Alumni Reunion Center in Evans Hall

Guidelines and Use

Updated November 28, 2006

In 1999, the UCO Alumni Association earmarked donor dollars to purchase furnishings for the Alumni Reunion Center at Evans Hall.  Please help us keep the room beautiful for years to come by following these guidelines.

Scheduling Use of the Room:

Please contact Heather McCormick at x2770 or by e-mail (hmccormick@ucok.edu) to book a meeting or an event in the room.  The use of the room is available for any UCO faculty/staff member.  After you schedule the room a copy of these guidelines will be e-mailed to you.

Refreshments:

Refreshments/food is allowed in the Alumni Reunion Center under the following conditions:

·          Any vendor may be used for food/refreshments.

THE ROOM MUST BE LEFT AS YOU FOUND IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE

Noise Levels:

Evans Hall is home to many campus offices which conduct daily business regularly between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday with some exceptions. Some of these offices back up to the Evans Hall Great Room and, consequently, sound can sometimes be heard from those offices in the Great Room and vice versa.  As efforts are made in these offices to keep noise at a respectable level, those using the Great Room for their events are also expected to respect the offices' need to conduct business.

Should a problem arise concerning one of the Evans Hall offices, please send a University representative (not a student or a visitor) to the offices and respectfully discuss the issue with the front desk of the office.  Please do not interrupt meetings or other business being conducted in those offices.

By agreeing to the policies for using the Evans Hall Great Room, you accept that some outside noise may be heard from those offices in the building and you pledge to handle any possible noise issues in a professional and cordial manner.

Interruptions:

Occasionally, a tenant of the building may need to enter the room to gain access to the “cage” storage area during a meeting.  If you are having a special event and prefer not to be interrupted, please, on all doors, post the “Meeting in Progress” signs which are located in the buffet drawers, located on the south side of the room.  Unless posted otherwise, routine staff meetings will be subject to interruption.  We would appreciate you returning the signs to their proper place upon completion of your meeting or event.
