I won!!!!! Well I won the election for Psi Chi (Honors Society for Psychology) President. I should be overjoyed with the whole situation, except I think I am more nervous now than I was before the election results came out. Psi Chi is my “baby” so-to-speak now. It accomplishments, goals, and failures are all on my shoulders now. I’m responsible. No point the finger or just saying I had nothing to do with it. I know I have a lot of ideas for the organization and I hope the organization takes to them quickly. And if you ladies/gents have any suggestions, I open to any advice and it will truly be taking into consideration.
Besides that, I’m so ready for the semester to be over even though I might have just as much work for this summer as I do now. This is my last summer before going to graduate school, so that means I have to get a lot of applications put together. I thought I would be here in Oklahoma during this summer, so that would give me an opportunity to work on them. However, I recently found out that my entire summer schedule might have to change. So that will be interesting.
Well take care and shoot any questions you might have my way.

Well the last two weeks have really been fast paced for me. Of course, I had test to go on top of everything else. I have been campaigning for election. I decided to run for the Psi Chi (Honors Society for Psychology) presidency. There will be a lot of work for me next fall if I win the election. I think I’ll be an officer even if I don’t win the election. I’ll still try to help out with the organization. I know our election speeches were quite different in content, so I don’t know how that will go over. Nevertheless, my opponent would be a really good president, so I think our organization will do well next year either way.
This week I found out that I got a Central Senior Standout award. I am real excited about that. You have to be nominated and then they select 10 seniors and 10 freshmen to give the award to. I guess I never really noticed all the different types of things I’m in until I see them all written down. Anyway….. its just nice to be recognized and I’m thankful for even the nomination.
Remember to hit me up with any questions too!

Man this week was pretty quick paced. I was expecting there to be some kind of lag time with my instructors since everybody was coming back from spring break. I was sadly mistaken. I had a test that I completely forgot about, but I think I did decent on it though.
On top of everything else, I am running for Psi Chi (Honors Psychology Society) President. I was kind reluctant about doing that. It wasn’t because I thought I would fail at it, but one of my friends is also running for President. She wants it really bad too. I hope we can remain cool either way the results go. I’d be cool with it either way because she would make a great president.
I’ve arranged to be teaching assistant for this summer and fall. Of all the classes I get…… Psychological Statistics. I’m already having heart burn about that one. I’m not just grading papers this time either. I have to get up and actually teach a one and half hour class once a week. My mentors seem to have confidence I can do it, and I am going to try to live up to it.
Well take care and shoot any questions you might have my way.

What can I say about spring break that you don’t already know? Of course mine was great and I hope you had one too. I flew out of Oklahoma before spring break even started to present at a McNair (Preparatory Ph.D program) conference at the University of Maryland. Pretty much all expenses paid. Ronald McNair Scholars program is one the best programs of them all. While I was on the east coast, I had to go see some of the family. They would be quite upset if they heard I flew in-and-out without stopping by. I only got to spend one night with them while I was there because I was so busy, but it was so worth it.
After flying back to Oklahoma, I basically got in my car and immediately drove to Texas to go visit some more of the fam. My niece is there, so you know I’ll always be there during the breaks. I even got a few jiu jitsu classes in while I was there. Which is good because my brother be trying to kill me with the lastest move he learned every time I go down there to see him.
I was supposed to be doing some more research on graduate schools, but I really didn’t even get to it. I was just happy I got to hangout with so much of the fam. Hopefully, I’ll get back on that stuff first thing back.
Well take care and shoot any questions you might have my way.
