Well, I am finally over being sick. I told myself and I told my friends, “There is no way Ill catch the bug. I never get sick.” And sure enough, a few days later, I was sick in bed for 3 days straight. I HATE BEING SICK. But I love being better, and now that I am actually feeling good, I feel like I hopefully wont get sick again…knock on wood.
Things are flying by here in Broncho-land…not to mention; my senioritis has kicked in, bad. Senioritis can be defined as a senior (*which could be in high school or college) who is ready to move on to the next part of their life. Senioritis. I have it. I have it bad. However, I am getting more and more sad to leave this place. Maybe I’ll work for UCO. That would be nice. I would love to be able to give back—I love this place.
Today is Valentines Day. I am Valentine-less. OH, well, it is overrated. Haha. But, the older you get and while in college, you realize that it is just an expensive holiday, and if I DID have a Valentine, I would hope that she and I could make some Ramen noodles in my apartment, hang out on the couch and watch a movie…that is a typical night for me. Those guys who swoon girls with fancy dinners are just overrated. Or maybe I am just cheap. Ha!
Nevertheless, Happy Valentines!

Another week has passed. I am 7 weeks away from Italy, and just 2 months away from graduation. I still can’t believe that I am graduating. Heck, I still can’t believe that I am about to have a degree and a “big kid” job. Last week, I accepted a job at Camp Champions, as the Fine Arts Director. I am excited. Every summer since I have been in college I have worked at camp as a counselor, and now I am taking that step to be on staff. It is exciting.
Next week, I should have more fun and exciting college-y things to talk about. However, the snow this week pretty much made it not exciting, whatsoever, to get out of the house.
Here’s to a new week,
Michael

Wow.
January has flown by. In fact, it has flown by so fast that I cannot even comprehend the fact that I will be graduating in May. That is like 3 months away! Nevertheless, I really am trying to make the best of it, and really just invest in everyone as much as I can. After all, who knows where I will be in May. I am thinking overseas? Who knows? Speaking of overseas, I go to Italy for Spring Break in 7 weeks! I absolutely cannot wait. I am going on a Leadership Study Tour with 50 of my friends! It is going to be amazing!
The break was good for me. I rekindled some friendships, and made some time for me, which is something I often forget to do. I use to be the type of person who hated being by myself, and always felt bad for those who were, but now I am realizing I can recharge and get a needed boost from being alone.
I am President of the President’s Leadership Council (PLC) here at UCO. I love love love love PLC! It is something I am passionate about and something I think everyone should try to be part of. So, for all you freshmen, who are working on applications and stuff, remember the deadline to apply is coming up. It is the best way to get to campus and get involved. Don’t forget! Wish me a good weekend! It is Rush week… wahoo!

Hello!
Well, finals are over. I am off crutches. I am satisfied with my grades from this semester, and physical therapy is kicking my butt. But the best part of it all is that Friday I will depart for the great city of San Antonio to see my mom and dad. I am working all this week on campus, and I am so happy to finally make some money especially since I was out of work for two weeks because of my knee. If you have ever torn your ACL or had any other knee injury, you know exactly what I am going through.
So, at this point, you should probably know that my senioritis has kicked-in in the worst degree. I am so excited/ready/eager to graduate. But it is a good thing. And I have been applying for jobs and trying to get my name out there so I can graduate and have an awesome job. I love UCO, so I am not counting out the possibility of working here.
I had a great weekend. I finally got the chance to go out and hang out with my friends. Some of the best experiences I have had in college are hanging out at someone’s house and it turning into a huge get together. We laugh, we hang out, we laugh some more. It was the perfect ending to a great semester. But next semester will be great, too. I pushed my General Education classes (Math, Biology, PE) to the last semester, so I will kind of be a freshman again. Hopefully I can remember all that stuff I learned in high school so I can actually graduate in May J

You may have been wondering, where has Michael been? Well, I have been cooped up in my room for a week and a half. I just had ACL surgery on my knee. I thought I would have been okay after about a week, but they messed up on my medications so I had to do another week in bed, as well as another week on crutches. It has all just been one inconvenience. I even had to miss a week of class, which totally bites because I feel like I absolutely cannot get behind with finals coming up.
As finals are getting closer, and the thought of me having to crutch around campus is lingering. Nevertheless, the smartest thing any student can do is meet with their teachers. You have to develop a relationship with your teachers so they do not just see you as a normal student. You have to set yourself apart. But finals are nothing to be scared of. In fact a lot of class’s finals are just the last test of the semester and not even a huge outrageous test.
Nonetheless, I am ready for Christmas Break. There is something about the holiday season that makes me so happy. I am ready for lights, and presents, and people to be listening to the jolly music. There is something about Christmas music that motivates me. I think in the future if I ever have a bad day, I am going to just turn on some Christmas music and have my self a merry day.
Well, I am back to sitting in bed, and trying to get better. Here’s to a great week of finals and dead week…
…the best is yet to come.

Well, tonight is our date party: Pike-O-Lantern. I am a Pike, in case you didn’t know. It stands for Pi Kappa Alpha. UCO has an incredible Greek system. Going Greek really was one of the best decisions of my college career. Check out www.ucok.edu/greek, it will give you all the goods on going Greek, and a little bit about each house. My date and I, and my roommate and his date are going as Teletubbies. It should be interesting.
Today I turned in a HUMONGOUS paper for my Communication Research class. It was only a rough draft, but it has been lingering over my head this whole semester, so I am glad to get it off my chest and turned in. I love my Comm. Research class, I am learning so much about myself and about communication. After all, I am a proud communication major J Nevertheless, it is over the half way point for the semester so I need to kick my butt in gear if I want to get a good GPA this semester.
Tomorrow is Parent Weekend, and let me tell you, OUR OFFICE IS BUSIER THAN EVER! I love it, though. I love planning events, and I love working with people. Let’s just hope I can wake up at the crack of dawn tomorrow after a long night of fun tonight. I am excited about the date party; I need a good fun night. I have been so swamped with school work; this will be my little reward to myself.
My parents are in Jamaica. I am so jealous!
…the best is yet to come.
