Campus Action Response and Evaluation Team
C.A.R.E. Team

The purpose of the UCO C.A.R.E. TEAM is to provide the campus community with the necessary information to refer to students in psychological distress, or who are experiencing personal crises, to the appropriate resources on campus. The C.A.R.E. Team is a proactive approach to coordinate and plan responses to identify, assess, manage, reduce and educate the campus community as to the risk of individual harm or interpersonal violence.


C.A.R.E. TEAM Members:

Kathryn Gage (VP Student Affairs); Pat LaGrow (Associate Vice Provost Academic Affairs); Cole Stanley (Assistant VP Student Affairs / Director Student Life); Bruce Lochner (Assistant VP Student Affairs / Director Student Counseling Center); Jeff Harp (Chief, Department of Public Safety); Brad Morelli (Legal Counsel); Chris Snoddy (Director, Student Conduct); Dennis Dunham (Director, International Student Services); Josh Overocker (Director, Housing); Jo McGuffin (Director, University Health Services); and, Adrienne Proffer (Academic Advisor).


Accomplishments of C.A.R.E. TEAM

• Initiated a forum to regularly discuss developing threats and interventions that affect faculty and staff at UCO and distribute resource material and information.
• Created a website for 24/7 access to referral resources
