UCO-CCFR will…

  • Give students a chance to develop leadership skills and to know each other and work together

  • Provide opportunities to learn about the profession, through informational programs, family-related service projects, and state and national conference

  • Give evidence on your resume to graduate schools and employers that you value professional development

 

To be a student affiliate, you must….

  • Have a minimum of 10 dues-paying members of NCFR at your university. These can be faculty, graduate students, or undergraduate students.

  • Adopt the NCFR mission as your council’s mission.

  • Use NCFR as part of your council’s name.

  • Refer to your organization as “an affiliate of the National Council on Family Relations,” and with permission, use the NCFR logo as part of your identification.

  • Devise a means of governance, consistent with NCFR bylaws, structure, dues, and file them with NCFR headquarters.


To stay active, UCO-CCFR must….

  • Provide NCFR with written copies of current bylaws, newsletters, and minutes.

  • Send copies of a written annual report, financial report, and lists of officers and affiliate-only members by February 15 to NCFR headquarters each year. This must include a plan of work including details for membership marketing of NCFR and its products.

  • Send an updated list of newly elected officers within 30 days after taking office.

  • Be represented by the Association of Councils by its President and/or advisor who must be a member of the National Council on Family Relations.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Campus Council on Family Relations (CCFR) seeks to provide a forum on the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) for students and faculty to share in the development and dissemination of knowledge about families and family relationships, establish professional standards, and work to promote family well-being.
