Qualification FAQ's
|
I have a learning disability. Can I receive assistance from Disability Support Services? Yes. A student with a learning disability may qualify for extra exam time, notetakers, audio-taped class sessions, etc. Accommodations are based on the individual needs of the student. I have ADD. What services are available to me? All the services provided are on an individualized basis. Consideration is given to your needs as well as documentation regarding your disability. I receive extended time for exams as an academic accommodation. My professor says that I must make arrangements through the Office of Disability Support Services to take my exams. Why? Extended time can be provided during the class examination period. However, sometimes, due to scheduling conflicts, extended time is not available immediately before or after class. In those cases, Disability Support Services is available to administer and proctor examinations.
