UCO NAMES NEW ALUMNI DIRECTOR

The University of Central Oklahoma recently named Al Jones as the new Alumni Director for the university’s Alumni Relations office.

Jones, a UCO graduate with both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in education, bring an extensive knowledge of communications to the UCO development team working for over 30 years in sales, marketing, and public relations. 

A native Oklahoman and devoted UCO alum, he served three terms as president of the UCO Alumni Association, served as a UCO representative for the Higher Education Alumni Council of Oklahoma (HEACO), and was inducted into the UCO Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.   
“We are honored to have Al join our UCO development team, said UCO President W. Roger Webb.

“His passion for UCO and knowledge of the community will be instrumental as we continue to grow and expand the services offered to both our alumni and friends.”

Jones currently resides in Edmond with his wife Sharon, who serves as an academic dean for Oklahoma Christian Schools in Edmond.

The UCO Alumni Association promotes the general welfare of UCO through its members while strengthening the relationship and communication among graduates; current students, faculty, and staff; and friends of the university.
