Department of Engineering and Physics
Engineering Physics (M.S.)
The UCO MS in Engineering Physics was recently recognized by the American Institute of Physics as one of the top 22 programs of its kind in the nation and was the only program in Oklahoma to receive the highest ranking available. Each of the 22 "strongest programs" described have built a reputation on preparing students for work in industry.
The Master of Science in Engineering Physics program provides an excellent opportunity for individuals trained in technical disciplines, such as engineering and physics, to further their education. The curriculum consists of a basic core of physics courses and additional courses that support each student's goals. The program is very flexible and meets a variety of needs consistent with the resources of the Department of Engineering and Physics and the University of Central Oklahoma.
While the primary objective of the program is to prepare students for successful careers in industry, some students have earned the MS in Engineering Physics at UCO in order to prepare for PhD study at other institutions.
