The International Student Staff is always there for students, taking care of international students from the moment they apply, to the day they graduate. A unique mentorship program pairs a new international student with a more experienced one, to show them around. International students can choose to meet a family that will “adopt” them while they are at UCO and perhaps develop a lifetime relationship. 

Facilities:   Everything You Need

Thanks to UCO’s unique insurance program, most on campus medical procedures are free!  International students will be surprised to see a full time physician on campus as well as three qualified nurses, a pharmacy and many other facilities. Required immunization shots can cost over $100 at other campuses - free at UCO!  The modern wellness center includes two basketball/volleyball courts, weight and cardiovascular training equipment. The beautiful, park like campus has numerous dormitories, eating facilities, and new apartment style housing units. Many excellent off campus housing units are available within walking distance.
