Change Of Status

Provided that the applicant is in good legal status with Immigration it is possible to REQUEST a change to student status from Immigration. This request must be done through our office. We can help you with required forms and documentation. Requesting the change of status is not a guarantee that Immigration will approve it. Depending on your current status, you may not be able to actually begin taking classes until your change of status has been granted by Immigration. If you are currently legally in the U.S . under a different status and wish to pursue studies at UCO please come by the International Office to discuss this with us. PLEASE NOTE: If you entered the U.S. on a "visa waiver" program you cannot request a change of status.
