Staff & Faculty Opportunities

In addition to promoting leadership development for students, UCO's faculty and staff are committed to their own personal leadership development.  Through Leadership UCO sessions, Character First training, workshops, mentoring experiences, and many other opportunities, the UCO faculty and staff model the leadership they hope to develop in students.

Leadership Courses

Lessons in Leadership - UCO's unique speaker series featuring outstanding local and national leaders from a variety of backgrounds. The weekly series is free and open to the public, but can also be taken for credit.

Leadership UCO - Leadership UCO (LUCO) is designed to help identify, develop, and support the leadership skills of selected UCO faculty and staff members at the University of Central Oklahoma. LUCO focuses on developing 360° leaders who are knowledgeable regarding what is happening at UCO in order to create a larger pool of candidates to fill open positions and leadership assignments and to create an organizational expectation whereby all administrators assume responsibility for identifying and nurturing potential.  2008-09 Application

Leadership UCO Alumni - Leadership UCO Alumni is designed to further enhance the leadership skills of graduates of the Leadership UCO (LUCO) program at the University of Central Oklahoma.  The development of important relationships with colleagues on campus has been the highlight for many participants.  Anchored by leadership, LUCO Alumni events will feature dynamic speakers/facilitators presenting on various leadership topics to further enhance and build on the already established connections among the LUCO graduates.  In addition, LUCO Alumni gives the participants the opportunity to give back to the university by providing perspective(s) to other campus leaders on relevant matters, to serv e as leadership advocates on the UCO campus through encouragement of and participation in leadership activities, and be UCO leadership ambassadors through service to others while defining and modeling the organization's core values of character, civility and community.
