Dr. Jo McGuffin, Director of the Student Health Center, has been recently
designated a board certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare
Executives (ACHE). She has been a member of ACHE for many years and has past

healthcare management, as well as publications related to healthcare

The Student Health Center recently purchased a laboratory system that allows
the center to perform many of the blood tests in the health center rather
than sending the specimens out to an off-campus laboratory. This new service
provides greater efficiency and timeliness for treating patients, and
minimizes the out-of- pocket expenses for the student at the time of
service. By performing these tests in the health center, the health center
has been licensed to be a CLIA - moderately complex lab, rather than a CLIA-waived
laboratory. |
