We will also continue to treat patients who are not covered by Health Insurance: Uninsured patients will be asked to sign a form acknowledging that they do not have Health Insurance. We do recommend that students take advantage of the Health Insurance options available to them through parents, spouses, or the University sponsored insurance plan. Return to FAQs

Student Health Center Co-Payment and Deductible Policy:

Co-payments: Individual insurance companies require different co-payment amounts due at the time of service.  The UCO Student Health Center requires all students to provide a copy of their insurance card at the time of their visit.  The student is required to pay the appropriate amount stated on the card (usually $15 or $20).  Deductibles: The Student Health Center accepts and bills all insurance plans.  Students receiving ancillary services may be required to pay any amounts not covered or paid by their respective insurance company. Procedure for Medically Sensitive Issues: The University of Central Oklahoma’s Student Health Center provides high quality care to all students and offers at your request confidential billing for medically sensitive laboratory tests.  The Student Health Center recognizes that some laboratory tests are “medically sensitive” e.g. STI (STD) and pregnancy tests. Circumstances may arise where a student would like to be tested but does not want this information to appear on their parent/guardian’s insurance forms. As a courtesy to UCO students, the Student Health Center is able to offer “medically sensitive” tests paid at the time of service.
