Founded:   October 24, 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio

Mission Statement 'The purpose of this sorority shall be to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action; objects worthy of the highest aim and purpose of associated effort. The purpose of this sorority shall be advanced through the National Convention, the National Council and the college and alumnae chapters.'

Philanthropy:  Speech and Hearing (Gallaudet University, The Starkey Hearing Foundation and House Ear Institute) and the Painted Turtle

Famous Members:  Joy Behar (host of 'The View' on ABC), Florence Henderson (actress, 'The Brady Bunch'), Marti Dodson (lead singer for national recording artist, 'Saving Jane', and Nanette Fabray (actress, worked to bring sign language and captioning to television.

Fun Fact:  2nd largest national sorority with 159 collegiate chapters

Recent campus achievements:   Freshman Queen 2006 & 2007; Miss UCO 2006, 2008; 2nd place in Homecoming Float Contest, 2007; 2nd place Spring Sing competition, 2005; Most Spirited UCO Organization 2004 and 2005; 2nd place in Homecoming Cheer and Dance competition; Lt. Colonel Service Award from UCO ROTC and Bronze and Blue Award.
