UCO's Tunnel of Oppression

At UCO, The Tunnel of Oppression is collaboratively planned by:  Multicultural Student Services, Counseling Services, Disability Support Services, UCO Department of Housing, Asian American Student Association, Black Student Association, Diversity Round Table, GATE, Hispanic American Student Association, Native American Student Association, Resident Hall Association, Students for an Accessible Society and Student Programming Board.

Given the many and varied forms of oppression in the world, it is impossible to cover every issue in one program. The students, faculty and staff responsible for the content of this year's tunnel have attempted to broadly cover issues and to at least begin the social justice discussion. This year the Tunnel of Oppression will address issues of racism, homophobia, sexism, abelism, body image, and domestic violence

The Tunnel of Oppression will take place on March 25 and 26, 2008.  The Tunnel is open from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and will begin in the Nigh University Center room 304.
