UCO Disabled Sports appreciates everyone who assists in the task of helping fund the various disabled sports programs that are held at UCO. Some of the upcoming events include:

Night of Champions
Date: August 8, 2008

The Night of Champions is a benefit gala held in conjunction with the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games. The inaugural Night of Champions was held in February 2006 and Olympians Bart Conner and Nadia Comaneci served as honorary chairs for this incredible event.

Night of Champions provides a magical evening of food and entertainment, along with an impressive silent and live auction.  During the evening the Opening Ceremony is simulcast for everyone to enjoy, and local talent features a taste of the Olympic host country through song, dance and food.

This evening provides all Oklahomans an opportunity to feel the excitement of the Olympic and Paralympic movement and show their support of our local Paralympic athletes as we send them off to the Paralympic Games following the Olympics.

The 2008 Night of Champions will be held August 8, 2008.  For more information about this event contact Shelly Ramsey at (405) 974-3151 or sramsey2@ucok.edu.

Drive of Champions
Date: September 2009

The Drive of Champions is a benefit golf tournament held every other year in September. It is held in non-Olympic years, i.e. 2009, 2011, etc.

This premier golf tournament is played at the world-class Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma. Oak Tree Golf Club has been hosting major golf events for more than 25 years, including the 1988 PGA Championship and the 2006 Senior PGA Championship. Oak Tree Golf Club is one the top golf courses in America.

Participants receive Olympic and Paralympic apparel, play a unique team scoring format, as well as meeting our Paralympic Resident Athletes.  All proceeds from Drive of Champions Tournament support the UCO Paralympic Training Site and the development of Olympic and Paralympic programs in Oklahoma.

For more information about this event contact Shelly Ramsey at (405) 974-3151 or sramsey2@ucok.edu.
