Orientation
Wellness
Center orientation classes are designed to provide participants with
an introduction to various fitness equipment. We desire that our
members have a safe and enjoyable
experience at the Wellness Center, and feel comfortable utilizing
the various equipment.
Orientation classes are FREE and are presented by Wellness
Center professional staff and senior level Exercise Fitness
Management majors.
Participants
may register for equipment orientation by calling 974-3150 or
registering online (see below). Broncho-Fit points available!

Introduction to
Stability Ball
Did you know that you
can complete an entire strength training workout just using the
stability ball? Participants will learn over 15 different
exercises that will challenge and increase strength and balance!
Class length: 60 minutes Instructor: Danielle

Wednesday, September 20th at 3:30 pm and Friday, October 27th at
4:00 pm.

Free Weights 101
Learn how to use free
weights effectively and safely. Participants will be taught
over 15 different strength training exercises using free weights and
will be guided on proper form and technique. This is a great
class to get you started on your workout! Class length:
60 minutes Instructor: Andrew John, WC Fitness
Coordinator Dates: Thursday, September
28th at 12:00 pm/Noon and Wednesday, November 8th at 5:30 pm.

Introduction to
Strength Machines
Gain a better
understanding of how to use selctorized strength training machines.
Participants will be taught how to safety use the CYBEX Circuit
strength machines at the Wellness Center. Learn proper form
and technique for an effective and fun workout! Class
length: 60 minutes Instructor: Andrew
John, WC Fitness Coordinator Dates:
Tuesday, October 24th at 12:00 pm/Noon and Wednesday, November 15th
at 4:00 pm.

The ABCs of Cardio
Equipment
Participants will
learn the basic operation and function of Wellness Center
cardiovascular equipment. Have a great time learning how to safely
use treadmills, bikes, arc trainers, ellipticals, and stair
steppers. Class length: 45 minutes Instructor:
Shawna Bridwell, Exercise Fitness Management Major Dates: Thursday, September 7th at 1:30
pm and Tuesday, October 10th at 5:30 pm.
